JAPN 2201 - Japanese IIA

Japanese IIA continues instruction and practice in the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, whilst enabling students to broaden and consolidate their knowledge of the Japanese language established in Japanese IB. To develop knowledge of the grammar, vocabulary and kanji characters in both written and spoken Japanese contexts, the course aims: i) to introduce and consolidate new grammar points, ii) to expand knowledge and use of vocabulary in both conversational and written contexts, iii) to become familiar with new kanji characters, while consolidating the accurate use of hiragana and katakana characters and, iv) to develop communication skills and strategies, and v) to become efficient and independent language learners.
