JAPN 3201 - Japanese IIIA

Japanese IIIA continues instruction and practice in the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, whilst enabling students to broaden and consolidate their knowledge of the Japanese language developed in Japanese IIB. To develop knowledge of the grammar, vocabulary and kanji characters in both written and spoken Japanese contexts, the course aims: i) to introduce and consolidate new grammar points, ii) to expand knowledge and use of vocabulary in both conversational and written contexts, iii) to become familiar with a substantial number of new kanji characters and, iv) to develop intercultural communication skills and strategies, and v) to become efficient and independent language learners. This course is not available for first-year students.
