Syllabus:	The first part of the course introduces the process system approach. The second part deals with the application of certain key principles of engineering and science that are required for any quantitative treatment of environmental problems. Topics to be covered in this course include: Introduction and basic concepts; Environmental chemicals and properties; Inter-media transport; Simple exchange models; Air pollution problems; Nuclear chemistry; Environmental modelling; Plume dispersion; Simple kinetic models.
