Syllabus: |
This course provides an opportunity to undertake advanced-level research in the discipline of English. The aim of the course is to allow students to develop theoretical and methodological skills during an exploration of a specialised theme and to develop high-order research and writing skills appropriate to its study. Topics covered may include advanced research methods, key scholarly approaches to the students' area of literary research and the assumptions that inform them, current approaches to the scholarly essay form. |
