This course will introduce students to the broad array of scientific endeavour, the integrated nature of scientific disciplines, and the importance of scientific process and critical thinking especially experimental design. Students will be introduced to contemporary examples of applied biology. Applied Biology will be introduced through a series of workshops and practicals in which students will gain an understanding of the discipline of applied biology, and the careers available within biology. |
